Monument to Diana Abgar Park

On October 8, 2019, the park in the middle of Saryan, Buzand, Karen Demirchyan Streets and Mashtots Avenue was named after a prominent Armenian public figure, writer and publicist, author of a number of books on the Armenian Genocide issues, honorary consul of the first Republic of Armenia in Japan Diana Abgar. She is the first Armenian woman diplomat and one of the first women to have ever been appointed in any diplomatic post in the twentieth century.
