Located in Martiros Saryan Park, between Mesrop Mashtots and Marshal Baghramyan Avenues and Stepan Zoryan Street, on the side of Mashtots Avenue, this monument commemorates the 2750th anniversary of the founding of Erebuni-Yerevan. It was created by sculptor Hakob Philiposyan and architect Phoenix Darbinyan in 1970.

The monument features a vertical stele made of orange, hewn tuff from Byurakan, standing 4.35 meters tall and 2.85 meters wide, set on a basalt platform with a 35 cm high base of black polished marble. On the main facade of the stele, there is an asymmetrically placed copper embossed plate measuring 3.5 × 1.8 meters. The central motif of the composition is the Tree of Life, flanked by figures of a man and a woman dressed in attire from the period of the Van Kingdom. At the base of the plate, a griffin is depicted. In the lower left part of the composition, the inscription “EREBUNI 782” is engraved, with “YEREVAN” on the right side.

On the back of the stele, in the lower section, there is a fountain. The details of the composition are designed in a style characteristic of the art of the Van Kingdom.
