SCULPTURE “ANUSH AND SARO”

It is located in the Children’s Park named after Hovhannes Tumanyan (TUMO’s Park). Created in 1971 and installed in 1973, the sculpture was designed by sculptor Levon Tokmajyan. It depicts the main characters of Tumanyan’s poem “Anush” (1890), highlighting the themes of love and unity between Saro and Anush. The piece is infused with lyricism and is made from a single basalt fragment, standing 2.8 meters tall. The artist's name and the year of creation are engraved below: LEVON TOKMAJYAN, 1971.
