Yerevan in the films of the last century
The opening of the exhibition was preceded by the official ceremony of redemption of the jubilee stamp issued by "Haypost" CJSC.
On the occasion of the centenary of Armenian film production (1923-2023), the exhibition entitled "Yerevan in the films of the last century" will be open in the History Museum of Yerevan until December 1st.
It includes posters of Armenian films from the private collection of Hayk Demoyan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, which is part of the collection of the Museum of History of Yerevan, the Museum of Literature and Art. The exhibits are mainly in Russian, because during the Soviet years, Armenian film production was financed from the center. Famous films "Saroyan Brothers", "Big Win", "Man from Olympus", "Men", "Dad" and other films are presented, which were shot in whole or in part in Yerevan and preserved valuable and exclusive scenes related to the capital. The visitor can also see the film camera of Hamo Beknazaryan, the first director of Hayfilm, preserved in the History Museum of Yerevan, as well as film tapes of various films.
