Lonely Planet has included Armenia among the best destinations of 2025. A trip to this small country straddling Asia and Europe can only start from Yerevan, or Yeravan, its capital since 1921.

The pink city, as it is called for the shade of the tuff with which most of the buildings in the center were built, has over 2800 years of history and foreign dominations behind it and is older than Rome. But it is also a lively city, full of cafes, restaurants, museums and green spaces, all dominated by the profile of the legendary Mount Ararat, the "holy mountain" of the Armenian people.
