SHED IN DALMA GARDEN
XVII- XVIII centuries

It is located in the central area of Dalma Garden, on the left bank of the Canal.
It was constructed in
the
XIX century, during the reign of Hossein
Qoli Khan, the last Persian sardar of Yerevan (1807-1828), when the Dalma Canal was
reopened, new gardens were established, viticulture and winemaking gained new
momentum, many wineries and cellars were built.
It is a vaulted structure with a rectangular plan with external dimensions
of 9.85 x 5.90 m, made of semi-finished tuff and basalt stones and clay mortar.
The walls were plastered from the inside with straw-mixed clay (a small part
has been preserved). There are several niches on the walls. The roof and floor
are covered with earth. The arched 117 cm entrance is from the south.
Historically, during the Soviet period,
this structure functioned as a warehouse for pesticides.
