14 more new elements in the list of intangible cultural heritage values of Armenia in need of immediate protection
The list, which consisted of 19 items, is supplemented by 14 more.
By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the project "On Amendments and Additions to the Resolution No. 36-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of January 20, 2011" was approved. The goal is to change and supplement the existing list of intangible cultural heritage values in need of immediate protection in RA.
With the draft of this decision, the list of intangible cultural heritage values in need of immediate protection of the Republic of Armenia, which consisted of 19 elements, is supplemented by 14 more.
Those 33 values are: "Dance with candles", "Seven stones", "Snowfall", "Gyumri carpentry", "Tradition of making malt", "Dialect of Karchevan", "Chatan-making tradition of Meghri community", "Pottery tradition of Goris and Sisian communities", "Tradition of making and using bread from whole grain flour and leaven", "Performance and instrument making tradition of tambourine, santur, saz", "Sacrifice with boat" and "Buka barane ritual" values. By the same decision, the information about the values of the previously registered "Karos khach" novel, "Tights of Ropes", "Songs of Condition", "Songs of the People's Gospel", "Kachbur" were updated.
