The basreliefs are located in
the underground foyer of the David Sasun Yerevan metro station (architects:
Baghdasar Arzumanyan, Sergey Nersisyan, Rafael Israelyan, constructor: Gerasim
Gevorgyan), on the way from the platform to the escalator. They are made on the
themes of the national epic: "Great Mher with the Lion", "Little
David and Kurkik Jalali", "David the Shepherd", "Little
Mher". There are also scenes of a ram fight, eagle sculptures, etc.
The bas-reliefs are made on
tuff. They attract attention with their unified composition, simple
decorative-rhythmic arrangement, and monumental-stylized forms.
