The house-museum of the renowned 20th-century artist Martiros Saryan was founded in 1967 during the artist's lifetime. The art collection was founded on artworks donated by Saryan himself. The layout of Saryan’s house was designed by Alexander Tamanyan, while the museum section was built according to a project by Mark Grigoryan. Until 2013, the museum building consisted of the artist’s two-story house and an adjoining three-story gallery. Between 2013 and 2016, a fourth floor was constructed, and the open terrace was converted into a library-archive. The building was also equipped with a ramp, an elevator, additional exhibition spaces, and a multifunctional hall.

VISITOR INFORMATION


The exhibition of the Saryan House-Museum represents all creative periods and genres of the artist. The permanent collection, comprising over 300 works, includes masterpieces such as ''Eastern Flowers'', ''By the Well. Hot Day'', ''Self-Portrait'', ''Night Landscape'', ''Still Life with Egyptian Masks'', and ''Walking Woman''. Visitors also have the opportunity to see the Master's studio and the memorial exhibition of his home.
