Derenik Demirchyan House-Museum


The Derenik Demirchyan House-Museum presents the long-standing creative path of the prominent writer, playwright, and public figure Derenik Demirchyan.


The Derenik Demirchyan House-Museum was founded in 1977 in the Yerevan apartment where the prominent writer, playwright, and public figure Derenik Demirchyan lived from 1929 until his death.

The museum was established by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia as a branch of the Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art.

VISITOR INFORMATION


The Derenik Demirchyan House-Museum is a cozy memorial museum, thanks to which one can get acquainted with the life and activities of the Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR, an outstanding writer, a great master of Armenian prose, Derenik Demirchyan, and get acquainted with the documents characterizing that period. The museum consists of a memorial section (study, living room, bedroom) and an exhibition hall. Various literary and musical events are organized in the museum.
