The monument to the great Armenian poet and lyricist Vahan Teryan (1885-1920) is located in the Ring Park, in the section adjacent to Teryan Street. It was erected in 1999, the ceremonial opening took place on February 9, 2000, on the 115th anniversary of the poet's birth.
The statue, made of a single piece of gray basalt, is placed on a polished basalt platform. Teryan is depicted in a sitting position, his head tilted to the left shoulder, his left hand resting on a stone, and his right hand holding a book. The sculpture is notable for the details of his clothing. The height of the statue is 3 meters.
