RESIDENTIAL HOUSE
Late 19th Century
State index: 1.6.200.3
The
house is located on Tigran Mets Avenue.
The
building is two stories, partially below ground level. In plan, it is an
elongated rectangle. The rooms are arranged in a double-row layout. The main
western façade faces Tigran Mets Avenue, where the main entrance is located.
Its only decorative feature is a wooden door enriched with artistically carved
reliefs.
The
northern façade is simpler in comparison to the western one. It lacks bands of
roughly dressed stone and window-sill elements. The window surrounds of the
upper floor are uniform and plain in treatment.
The
structural system consists of load-bearing stone walls built of tuff masonry
laid in regular courses. Finely dressed stone is used on the street-facing
façades. The floor structures are flat and made of timber. The roof is pitched
and covered with sheet metal.
