HOSPITAL BUILDINGS COMPLEX: OPHTHALMOLOGY CLINIC

Located at 58 Abovyan Street.
The project was designed abroad. The building was constructed in 1927 by the
Armenian Relief Committee (ARC), using funds provided by Marie Nubar, daughter
of Nubar Pasha Nubarian, a three-time Prime Minister of Egypt, and sister of
the prominent Armenian businessman and philanthropist Boghos Nubar Pasha. The
hospital is a gift from Mari Nubar to Yerevan. The inscription on the façade
reads: “MARIЕ NUBAR OPHTHALMOLOGICAL
CLINIC.”
The building is two-storeyed,
measuring 36 × 22.5 m.
