DAVIT THE INVINCIBLE PARK

1980s

Located in the Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative District, at the end of Davit Anhaght Street. The park is divided into four terraces and several functional zones.

At the entrance to the park stands the bronze monument to Davit the Invincible (5th–6th centuries), the renowned Armenian philosopher of the Early Middle Ages. The monument, erected in 1985, is mounted on a finely dressed granite pedestal (sculptor: Serzh Mehrabyan; architect: Eduard Safaryan).

In 2023, major renovation works began in the park. One hectare of land was landscaped, decorative concrete and granite-paved walkways were created, basalt curbs were replaced, a children's playground with a rubber safety surface was built on an area of 1,200 sq. m, new benches were installed, the lighting system was restored, water basins were constructed, and walkways covering approximately 270 sq. m were reconstructed using travertine tiles.

The project also includes the construction of musical fountains while preserving the existing cascade fountains.
