MONUMENT TO DAVID THE INVINCIBLE

The monument to David the Invincible, an Armenian philosopher of the 5th-6th centuries, a follower of Neoplatonism, the founder of the secular philosophy of ancient Armenian philosophy, is located in the park at the end of the street of the same name. The statue is cast in bronze, has a height of 3 m.

It is placed on a pedestal of reddish granite. The great thinker is depicted in a sitting position, in long clothes. His left hand rests on his knee, his thoughtful gaze is fixed on Mount Ararat. He holds his beard with his right hand, and under his elbow is a thick book, on which is engraved the sentence " KNOW THE PURE TREASURES OF YOUR SOUL...", symbolizing Anhaght's work the "Limits of Wisdom."
