"Dead Sea" of Yerevan

Salt Lake is a self-governing public space where visitors unconsciously become part of Yerevan's subculture.

In Yerevan, at Gajegortsneri 1/2 street, there is a hidden natural wonder known as Salt Lake. About 10 years ago, very few people knew about it, even fewer people visited. But recently this place was discovered by the city's tourists. Now they come here not only to recover, but also to escape from Yerevan heat in any way.
There are 11 salt compounds in the salt lake that are believed to potentially help alleviate joint pains, salt deposits and other serious ailments.
The amount of salt in the water is about 10 times higher than that in the ocean, allowing visitors to effortlessly float on the water. The area surrounding the lake has very little infrastructure, with perhaps only a half-built dressing room. However, this does not stop people from coming to Yerevan's only public beach. There are unwritten but strictly enforced rules here: no making noise, no jumping into the water, no playing loud music, and forming a queue at the waterfall. Yes, after leaving the Salt Lake, people are splashed next to it by the icy waters of a waterfall in the forest.
