HUNTING

2009 - 2024

Sculptor: Hakob Hakobyan

The sculpture "Hunting" is installed in the Tumanyan Park in Yerevan.

During his long creative years, Hakob Hakobyan has always been fascinated by the theme of man, the way of presenting him from everyday or allegorical sides at different stages of life.

Since the 1980s, the author has been fascinated by sculptures, creating unprecedented compositions from working tools. In particular, in the 2000s, the iconography of Hakob Hakobyan's miniature sculptures expanded, presenting human nature more comprehensively and giving life to the sculpture. The sculpture "Hunting" is one of the typical works of those years. He presents human nature through plastic means, revealing his heroes in an atmosphere of anxiety and tension.

Sculptor Hamlet Matinyan has embodied Hakob Hakobyan's plaster sculpture "The Hunt" in bronze. The height of the sculpture is 2.25 meters.
