THIRD GOVERNMENT HOUSE

Architects: Telman Gevorgyan, Vardan Husyan
The
building is located in the area between Aram, Nalbandyan, Hanrapetutyan, and
Vardanants streets, near the Republic Square metro station of the Yerevan
Metro. The structure has a three-wing composition and houses various ministries
and state departmnets of the Republic of Armenia.
Part
of the ground floor facing Aram Street is occupied by the Alexander Tamanyan
National Museum-Institute of Architecture.
The
walls are made of concrete and faced with finely cut orange tuff stone. The
surrounding area features medieval khachkars (cross-stones), fragments of
khachkars, a dragon stone, and tombstones.
