The monument dedicated to the architect
Karo Halabyan, Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR, Academician of the USSR
Academy of Architecture, is located in the Circular Park, near Moskovyan Street.
Elements of ancient and early medieval architecture, harmoniously combined in a
small architectural form, create a solid composition of an Ionian dome with
three triangular niches. The front surface of the dome is engraved: ON THE OCCASION OF HIS 100TH BIRTH
ANNIVERSARY. On the reverse side is the year of installation: 1997. It
is made of polished, massive basalt stones.
It is a remarkable monument perpetuating the memory of the accomplished
architect.
