International Museum Day
In 1978, the International Council of Museums (ICOM) designated 18 May as the annual International Museum Day (IMD) to raise public awareness of the important role that museums play in society. The theme of International Museum Day 2022 is ‘’The Power of Museums’’. Museums have the power to transform the world around us.
On May 18, museums will be opened to all visitors free of charge during museum working hours, and on May 21 from 11:00 to 24:00.
