MONUMENT TO DANIEL VAROUZHAN

The bust of the talented Western Armenian poet Daniel Varouzhan (Chpugkaryan), who fell victim to the Armenian Genocide in 1915, is located on Sebastia Street, in the courtyard of the primary school No. 89 named after the poet.
The bronze bust is erected on a high basalt pedestal and is 1.25 m high. Varouzhan is depicted in a half-reclining position, wearing a jacket and tie. The facial features are realistic, emphasizing the strength and nobility of the character. The poet's autograph and the year of creation of the bust are engraved on the front surface of the pedestal.
