MOUND IN DALMA GARDENS
State Index: 1.7.18.1
Located in the northern part of the Dalma Gardens, 235 meters west of the Monte Melkonyan Highway, on a gentle slope, the site was discovered in 2019 by an expedition from the Scientific Research Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage.
It is believed to have been part of the burial ground associated with the Tsitsernakaberd fortress-settlement.
The site features an egg-shaped mound with a stone and earth embankment. Its dimensions are 9 meters by 5 meters in plan, with a height of 0.8 meters, and preserved cromlech masonry in the northern part. This burial is one of the typical examples of the Bronze-Iron Age burial sites commonly found in Armenia.
