MONUMENT TO THE VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Located at the corner of the intersection of
Gajegortsner and Nubarashen Streets. Dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the
Armenian Genocide.
The composition includes a basalt obelisk (height 2.40
meters), set on a paved area, and a rectangular fountain. In the upper half of
the obelisk is a bas-relief of an eagle with the sign of eternity, symbolizing
the reborn and eternal Armenia.
Below it's engraved:
:ՌՋԺԵ (Armenian letters indicating date) - (1915) year.
On the narrow side surface of the obelisk is carved:
“IN MEMORY
IN MEMORY OF THE GREAT
GENOCIDE
ON THE FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY
FROM THE PEOPLE
QUARTAL
1915-1965”.
