MONUMENT TO THE VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

The
monument dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is located
at the intersection of Gajegortsner and Nubarashen streets. The composition
includes a basalt monument (height: 2.40 m) placed on a paved platform and a
rectangular fountain. At the top of the monument is a bas-relief of an eagle
with a sign of eternity, the symbol of a reborn and eternal Armenia. Below it's
engraved: ՌՋԺԵ (Armenian letters indicating date) - (1915)
year.
On
the narrow side surface of the monument is engraved: IN MEMORY OF THE
FIFTY-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE FROM THE RESIDENTS OF THE
DISTRICT: 1915-1965.
